Canvases are an artistic and popular way to display your photographs, and have many benefits over standard printed images.

  • Long lasting - canvas prints can sustain their image quality for many decades
  • Durable - not suseptible to cracking and smudging
  • Available in a wide range of sizes, including much larger sizes that available in other mediums

You can chooose from several different styles of canvases, and we will take a look at the differences below.
The available canvs options are:

  • Traditional Canvas
  • Fine Art Canvas
  • Float Framed Canvas

Traditional Canvas

Photo Canvas prints are produced starting with Kodak Endura Metallic Paper, stripping the emulsion from its paper base, laminating the emulsion and, under extreme pressure, permanently adhering the laminated emulsion to traditional artists canvas.

Photo Canvas is available in both a gloss "Diamond Finish"and lustre "Satinex Finish".

The canvas substrate used in production is a 100% cotton traditional artist canvas. Mounting options are stretched, gallery wrapped and masonite.

Stretched canvas is mounted on a solid stretcher-frame with a ¾” pro?le. Images are produced slightly oversized to allow for a clean viewing edge. The stretched mount will fit comfortably in a picture frame or can be tape ?nished for display.

Gallery wrapped

Gallery wrapped canvas mounts have the actual image wrapped around the sides and slightly along the back of the stretcher frame. This mounting technique is intended to hang as a completed piece and therefore does not require additional framing. The solid stretcher-frame used for gallery wrapped mounting is available in either a ¾” or 2” deep profile.

Masonite mounting

Masonite mounting of canvas prints creates a very durable finished product. The ?nished image can be assembled using a wide range of picture frame mouldings. As this mounting technique is designed to be framed it may be delivered with a slight reveal (or edge). This reveal area is designed to ?t under the moulding of your frame.

Fine Art Canvas

Fine Art Inkjet canvas prints are produced using the latest in professional inkjet technology. It utilizes a unique Solvent Finish to create a semi-gloss surface that is resistant to moisture, fingerprints and other similar contaminants. Cleaning is easily accomplished with a soft, clean, damp cloth.

This finish is also highly rated for fade resistance.

The specific canvas used in production is a polyester/cotton blend. The physical makeup of this canvas makes it less susceptible to changes in environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature levels. As such, this canvas will inherently stay extremely tight under a wide range of display conditions. This canvas provides a consistent and smooth surface that allows for incredibly wide color range and deep rich blacks, while still offering the look and feel of canvas.

Float Framed Canvas

Float Frames are the ultimate way to finish and display gallery wrapped canvas prints. Available in sizes ranging from 8x8” up to 40x60”.

Five moulding styles to choose from: Three styles specifically for our 2” deep Stretcher-Frame and two styles that are a perfect fit for our ¾” Stretcher-Frame.

Installation includes: Float frame, with black paper backing, bumpers and your choice of hanging device, wall buddies or a wire hanger.

The price of the float frame is dependent on the style of moulding selected.
